The Outreach Committee is a ministry that strives to create opportunities for St. Mark members to reach out to those in need in our community.

Here are some of the highlights of 2009.

 
January

--- Meal was prepared and served to guests at the Carpenters Place.  

--- A record number of In the Bag items were collected for the

CornucopiaFood Pantry.  

February

March

--- Adopted ConklinSchoolfor the 09-10 school year

--- A needs list for ConklinSchool was developed and shared with the congregation.

     This collection continued through Lent.

April

--- Meal was prepared and served at Carpenters Place for sixty-six guests.

May

--- Meld Cards were sold the three Sundays prior to Mothers Day

June

--- Boards were sold to help support the Habitat House RALM sponsors

--- Six congregation members worked at Habitat for Humanity

--- St. Mark provided lunch for sixty Habitat for Humanity workers

--- Six Outreach members volunteered at Sharefest

--- Seventy-seven guests were served food at Carpenters Place

July

 --- Seventeen congregation members volunteered to work on the Habitat House

 ---In the Bag Sunday collected approx. seventy-five bags of food and colleced/$471

       for the Salvation Army 

August

 --- Volunteers worked on the Habitat House

 --- Food was provided and served to guests at the Carpenters Place

--- School Supply Drive provided items for ConklinSchool and

      extras were dispersed to other needy schools

September

October

--- Crop Walk: twenty-eight people were involved,   $499 was raised.

--- Military Care Packages: twenty large boxes were shipped.  Remaining money

     donated was given to the Postal Shoppe to thank them for their help.

--- Eight-two guests were served at the Carpenters Place

November

December

--- Mitten tree set up to collect hats, gloves, and scarves.  These were donated to Conklin

     students and given to families in their Christmas baskets.

--- Annual Christmas baskets were packed and delivered to families in need

--- A lunch was prepared and served at Carpenters Place
